These terms explain what you can expect when you work with us. The quotation or contract for your project sets out the specific details and takes priority over these terms if they differ.
1. Who we are

2. Enquiries and quotations
- A request made through our website, by email or by telephone is an enquiry, not an order.
- We reply with a written quotation or proposal. Each quotation states its scope, price, delivery or mobilisation date, payment terms and how long it is valid.
- Quotations are based on the information you give us. If the scope, drawings or site conditions change, the price and dates may change, and we will confirm any change in writing first.
3. Orders and contracts
- A contract starts when we confirm your order in writing, or when both parties sign a contract.
- Business terms, including payment terms, retention and warranties, are agreed for each project by telephone or email and confirmed in writing.
4. Products designed to your specification
- We design products to the requirements you give us and send drawings for your approval before manufacture where the quotation says so.
- Products are built to our specification, using internationally known components, and placed on the market under the Novus Projects name, our responsibility and our insurance. Conformity documents, datasheets and test reports are supplied on request or as set out in the quotation.
- Delivery dates are confirmed in writing in the quotation or order confirmation. If something outside our reasonable control affects a date, we will tell you promptly and agree a new date.
- Ownership of goods passes to you when they are paid for in full. Risk passes on delivery unless agreed otherwise.
5. Site teams
- Teams are provided for clearly defined periods, set out in the quotation.
- Payment terms are agreed in advance and set out in the quotation.
- We provide teams anywhere in the UK and Europe, subject to the availability of staff at the time of order.
- Each team works under the supervision of Novus Projects. You provide safe access to site, the site induction and the information we need to do the work.
- Extending or ending a team's period early is agreed in writing, with the notice period set out in the quotation.
6. Commissioning and maintenance
- Commissioning levels (L1 to L5) and the tests included are set out in the quotation.
- Maintenance contracts state the visits, tests, response times and term that apply.
7. Payment
- Invoices are payable within the period stated in the quotation or contract.
- We may charge interest on late payment under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
8. Warranties
- Manufacturer warranties on equipment are passed on to you.
- Our workmanship is warranted for the period stated in the quotation.
9. Liability
- Our total liability under any contract is limited to the amount stated in that contract. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Data protection
We handle personal data in line with UK data protection law. Novus Projects Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration reference ZB304701. See our privacy policy.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
